Obituaries

Gloria Hernandez, 40, of Big Spring died Sunday, March 7, 2010, at her residence.  Vigil services will be at 7:00 PM Tuesday at Myers & Smith Chapel.  Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Ariel Lagunilla officiating.  Burial will be at Mt. Olive Memorial Park. 

Gloria was born March 19, 1969, in Big Spring.  She was employed a number of years at the Gregg Street Cleaners, and then later at Classic Cleaners for several years.  Gloria was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was a lifetime resident of Big Spring. 

Gloria is survived by one son:  Sr. Airman Timothy Ray Castillo, U.S.A.F., and his wife Jennifer of Abilene; Father:  Aristo Hernandez of Big Spring; one brother:  Raul Hernandez and his wife Terry of Big Spring; three sisters:  Anita Ybarra of Loveland, Colorado, Nora Torres and her husband Joe, and Christina Lopez and her husband Ramon, all of Big Spring; one grandson:  Jayce Castillo of Abilene; several nieces and nephews; including two special nieces:  Elexius Lopez and Esme Lopez.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband:  Ruben T. Martinez, Sr. on August 15, 2009; her mother:  Ofilia Hernandez on May 2, 2005; and one infant brother:  Freddie Hernandez. 

Pallbearers will be Mikey Hernandez, Mark Hernandez, B. J. Yanez, Adrian Abrego, Daniel Castillo, and Raul Castillo.
