A private family service will be held at a later date. Leslie was born April 12, 1960, in Midland County, Texas. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force, having served from 1977 until 1980. He lived most of his life in Big Spring and had worked in the oil field. He was a Baptist. He is survived by one son: Brandon Jones and his wife Stacey of Abilene; one granddaughter: Desirae Jones of Abilene; father and step-mother: Jim and Lazell McCurtain of Big Spring; companion: Shirleen Knox of Big Spring; two sisters: Sheryl McCurtain and Sheila Shanks, both of Loveland, Colorado; and three brothers: J. T. McCurtain of McAlister, Oklahoma, Wesley McCurtain of Tucson, Arizona, and Gary McCurtain of Stephenville. Leslie was preceded in death by his mother: Edna McCurtain.
