Obituaries

Joe Jones, 75, of San Angelo, formerly of Big Spring died Saturday, March 24, 2012, in San Angelo. The family will receive friends from 7:30 PM until 8:30 PM Friday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Saturday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Pastor Jerome McNally and Pastor Anthony Harris officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.
He was born February 22, 1937, in Ballinger to Henrietta and Willie Jones. He married Sarah Wood on December 17, 1960, in Big Spring. He lived most of his life in Big Spring moving to San Angelo in 1985. He had been employed by the City of Big Spring and the Big Spring State Hospital.
He is survived by his wife Sarah Jones of San Angelo; three daughters: Debra Mitchell of San Angelo, Bethine McNally and her husband Jerome of Big Spring, and Stephanie Harris and her husband Anthony of San Angelo; four sons: Joe Willie Jones of Austin, Joe Jones, Jr. of San Angelo, Tyrone Jones and his wife Shaquetta of Round Rock, and Rafael Paiz of San Angelo; three sisters: Juanita Kilpatrick of Midland, Laura Francis of Roscoe, and Mary Jones of Midland; 32 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son: James Stevens; two brothers: Willie Jones and Robert Jones; and two sisters: Rosie Lee Dotson and Cora Davis.
