This service enabled him to take advantage of the GI Bill and complete his education. During this period, his firm served clients located throughout the United States, Australia, England, Italy, Iran, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. He also spent substantial time providing pro-bono services to those who could not otherwise afford to defend themselves against the IRS.
Bill had many colorful stories to tell about his life and experiences. His grandfather made the first license plates in Big Spring in the Model T days. Using his mother’s Chevrolet, Bill’s father began the 222 Cab Company, the first cab company in Big Spring. Bill was baptized in the First Christian Church of Big Spring and was a member of the Big Spring Chapter of DeMolay. He was also a member of Big Spring Masonic Lodge #1340, The Austin Scottish Rite, and the Ben Hur Shrine Temple.
